UNISON

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Adina Kruskal
Additional Music by Elyse Anderson

Unison is a musical comedy that follows a tight-knit high school wind ensemble infected with a bad outbreak of Senioritis.
As deadlines loom one after another, seven seniors struggle to balance band with the intense demands of the college application process. Between audition prep, personal essays, roommate pacts, and Ivy League rejections, everyone’s individual problems pull them away from the group, leaving some students lost along the way.
In order to lock in their post-grad plans without destroying their friendships in the process, they’ll have to practice hard, but party harder.
“Reassuring and empathetic material... Teens will be a prime audience for this piece. Seniors, [...] and everyone below them, so they can gaze into their futures.” —Chicagoland Musical Theatre

“Ms. Kruskal shows real flair as a writer in her music, her lyrics, and her very natural dialogue… The overall impression of her score is a strong one.” —Times Square Chronicle

“With an uplifting, pop score, this show captures the epitome of teen angst among a predominantly female ensemble.” –Chicago Theater Triathlon
